oh well .... the pigs and cows and chickens we eat didn't commit
suicide either eh .... 
I do the same when I'm fishing ... if I'm taking it home for the
pot, I'll dispatch it as quickly and painlessly as I can ....
some of my mates let them flop around at the bottom of the boat ...
I carry a lead cub to bonk them on the head ....
